Kullow Hassan, an MP for Banisa, has passed away.

Kullow Maalim Hassan, a member of the Banisa Parliament, has passed away.

He passed away on Tuesday while being treated at a city hospital, according to his family.

In the South C area of Nairobi, a motorcycle hit and run killed Kullow.

He was praised by a number of his colleagues as a dedicated and hardworking legislator.

Adan Keynan, a member of the Eldas legislature, who recalled Kullow as a dedicated public servant who carried out his duties with honor. “I learn of the unfortunate death of my friend and colleague, Hon. Banisa MP, with great sorrow and profound sadness. Maalim Hassan, who passed away at the Agha Khan Hospital, was a kullow.

“In light of this tragic loss, I offer my deepest condolences to the Banisa community, its friends, and family, and I pray that Allah (SWT) will grant them sabr and comfort at this most difficult time.” May Allah grant Jannatul Firdaws to his soul. In a tribute, he said, “Amiin Amiin.”

Keynan stated that Kullow was a great leader whose transformative leadership will be remembered. He ran for office as a UDM candidate in Banisa, which is in Mandera County.

Kullow was elected to parliament for the first time in 2017 and was currently serving his second term.
